DIRECTIONS Note: Traveling long distances in a caravan has never seemed to work out very well. So, below are very clear directions and a map to our last US rendezvous point. If have a cell phone let the group leader know the number and leave it on. If for some reason you are delayed on the road, let the group leader know. If you have a CB (citizens band radio), dust it off and bring it. I will really help in keeping the group together her and in Mexico. (They also can be purchased for under $80.00 at a local Radio Shack.) From Pasadena: 210 East to the: 71 Corona South 91 East 15 South 805
South Take 905 East - Move To the Left Lane when comfortable. Watch for the LAST EXIT before Mexico, SEMPRE VIDA ROAD TURN RIGHT. Pull Into The Shell Gas Station OR McDonalds Note: There has been some road construction on Sempre Viva Road so watch the signs carefully! Near the end of the 905, the highway begins to turn South and heads for Mexico, shortly after Brown's field, a small airport on your left. On your right (Sempre Viva Blvd.), at the last exit before the border, is a McDonald's and a Shell gas station. You will be able to re-fuel and buy Mexican Insurance if you did not buy it here on-line. If you miss it, there is an emergency U-turn from the left lane - take it or you will end up in Mexico without the support team. This is where we will re-group prior to being escorted over the border. Map of Otay Mesa, CA What to Bring Basic Tools Itinerary Directions FAQ's |
