Team Casa de Dios House Building Ministry Building the houses and latrines is the vehicle we use to demonstrate Christ's Love to the poor and needy people in Mexico. It also serves to make relationships stronger between team members. Somewhere between the worship time and building efforts, bonds are made and the impact of what we are doing begins to sink in on Christian and non-Christians alike. Listed on the left are just a few of the trips I and Team Casa de Dios have made to Mexico. My testimony tells more about why I go.

General Information on House building: The houses cost $5500. to build and the latrine is about $ 700.00, for a total of $6,200. I like to see groups raise $6,500. as there are gifts and items we can only buy locally for the families. On the trips Team Casa de Dios sponsors, the cost per person
for food & lodging is $45.00. Plus your dinner at Mc Donald's (or
Subway or Carl's Jr.) Friday night and the traditional stop at “In-N-Out”
on Sunday. Other groups have different price structures.
The houses are a 16'x20', 3-room, weatherproof home complete with drywall and a loft. The houses are durable, efficiently designed, and will serve the families for many years. The concrete slab floor and all construction materials are provided through Baja Christian Ministries. These houses are a vast improvement in their general living . The download page has the building and latrine plans as well as other good resources for to help you organize your trip. We have made a few additions and changes to the plans and I will also publish a detailed running description of how to organize the construction process.
