April 2001 Trip Information
Despite the rain and mud, the team completed the new house on time!
With the help of Sierra Madre
Congregational Church, Joint Heirs and Paradoxes Sunday School classes,
those of you that signed up on line, a new home and latrine was built for this
very needy family.
When we were building on Saturday, it was raining early and very muddy. We
were however
able to get quite a bit of work done before it really started raining hard! (See
photos of people using trash bags as rain gear) Shortly after noon, God
gave us the sun back and stopped the rain. This blessing provided us the
opportunity to continue working and get completely caught back up!
This team was fantastic, I want to thank everyone who participated.
If you were on this trip, and you would like to share your experiences,

The family made us a very special plaque!

The group on a beautiful Sunday! |

Juan is a maintenance worker and makes $80. a week when
work is available. Maria and her son, Alfredo, are quite ill and
their medical costs create an even greater hardship.
They live in El Nino on a small piece of land with no running water. |
