Proverbs 14:31 Tijuana Mexico Living Conditions Tijuana and its outlying communities, (colonias) is only a few short hours South of metro Los Angeles. Thousands of Southern Californians go to Tijuana for shopping and fun but never venture past Avenue Revolution. If they did, they would see some of the worst living conditions in the world. Mother Teresa said, "...of all the places I've been the world, Tijuana is among the poorest." Water is delivered by worn-out water trucks and stored at the homes in discarded 55 gal. drums. The is no sewer system, very few working water systems and scattered un-reliable electricity. Food and gasoline are more expensive than in the US. In most of the colonias, there are only women and children during the days. Most of the men are bussed off to work in the factories in town with an average wage of $50. dollars a six day week.
